“What are your favorites in Branson, MO?” I get asked this on the daily in my DMs. Here’s a list of all my favs and everything you need to know about the holy city of Branson.
It’s no secret we Pentes love us some Branson. There’s just something wholesome about the city! It’s downright family-friendly, from the shows to the restaurants. I still remember my mom taking us as kids. We were by no means rich, but you’re talking about the best memories. We stayed at the Rosebud Inn way back then and I still can see the teeny little rosebuds in the carpet as we were excitedly walking down to the pool-haha. Throughout the years, I have enjoyed being able to raise my kids loving it as well!
Here are my absolute favorites: from to-dos, to eating, to thrifting!
The best activities in Branson, Missouri:
Sight and Sound Theatre: any show they have going, GO.
Silver Dollar City: Kids, or no kids, if you love good food, good music, rides, or any of the above, it’s a day you don’t want to miss! Check out my more detailed SDC blog here.
Branson Aquarium: SO fun! But I will say a lot have said the aquarium in Springdale is better. But we did love the Branson one! Not too long for young kids, and not too expensive.
Grand Village Shops-remind you of Gatlinburg!
Cutest little walking village with shops The Sugar Leaf Bakery-SO GOOD
The Track Family Fun Parks: This is right off the strip and is right by Andys. It’s got things for young kids but older kids too! Go-karts, carousel, Ferris wheel, etc.
Dolly’s Stampede: There are not too many times to see this wonderful Patriotic show! A WONDERFUL dinner and show, it’s a must! And just trust me, the creamy vegetable soup is THE BEST PART.
Dogwood Canyon: It’s the most beautiful way to see the Ozarks. This nature park is a family destination that has it all: waterfalls, outlooks, bicycles, hiking trails, horseback riding, wildlife tours, and trout fishing. It’s absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
Here are the best restaurants and eats in Branson:
Gettin’ Basted– This is by far the best BBQ in Branson. Hunter gets the Blackout sandwich and I get the pork tacos. SO GOOD.
Billy Gails for breakfast: Go early. Wait times start getting extremely long around 8am! It’s worth the wait though.
Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen: family-style where they bring out everything in huge portions for the table. We love the fried chicken, the meatloaf, the creamed potatoes, the broccoli casserole, the sweet potatoes…really you can’t go wrong here.
A bit pricier, but absolutely a must. Stunning views of Table Rock Lake, and an absolutely wonderful menu. Plan to be there just before sunset. There’s an amazing tradition they do at sunset each evening that you don’t want to miss. Just valet, it’s so much easier and worth the $10! Make sure to go to the restaurant down the stairs, or ask where the Buffalo Bar is. There are two restaurants and the one up top is more expensive for the same view and basically the same menu. Ask to sit on the patio! It’s absolutely my favorite tradition of Branson.
Landry’s Seafood: Surprisingly fresh seafood in the south!
The best coffee places in Branson:
Expresso Coffee: Always my first stop each morning I’m in Branson. A very smooth roast and wonderful lattes!
The Southern Belle iced, half sweet, with oat milk. Expresso Coffee in Branson
Table Rock Coffee Roasters: Honestly each time I’ve been it’s been too long of a line to let me try, but apparently it’s the bees knees, so if you can, try it out!
Best thrifting I’ve found in Branson, Missouri:
- Riley’s Treasures: I literally ALWAYS find a fav thrift find here. It’s located almost at the Promenade (where Paula Deens Family Kitchen is.)
- Consignment Clothing Exchange: Just found this new one, and it was GOOD!
I hope you found this blog helpful, and I will prob be editing as I remember little things and places I forgot. Any questions, or places that should be added- comment below! As always, thank you all for being here and stay tuned for more randomness.
